When WA’s largest independent medical equipment provider discovered a gap in the market for mortuary equipment, they also discovered the need to create a separate brand to market these products. While many of their products are suitable for general medical use, mortuary equipment has one key target market – funeral homes. To cater to this niche, they wanted to create something completely different to their existing brand. Something dynamic and fresh, yet caring and dignified. They came to BirdBrain to develop a new name and a distinct look and feel for this mortuary equipment company. We needed to clearly communicate this new brand in a website that would introduce this company to the funeral service industry.
How We Got There
Our branding team Luminosity went on an in-depth branding journey that eventually led to what is now known as SOVA. The name SOVA (meaning ‘sleep’ in Swedish) is simple yet memorable, and when paired with the tagline ‘dignity in motion’, it balances innovation with a human touch. Once the full brandmark and brand theme was fleshed out, all the wording was crafted and a professional photo shoot coordinated, we were able to design and develop a sophisticated website that would bring the brand story and offering to life. Our SEO specialists were also involved in the website development, ensuring the site was built on a strong SEO foundation that would benefit SOVA in the long term. After successfully launching the website at the end of 2018, SOVA continues to work with BirdBrain on SEO and lead generation strategies.
