- User-friendly, mental health support app for WA-based not-for-profit organisation
Since 1975, Holyoake has been providing support to people affected by the misuse of drugs and alcohol. With the need to adapt its services to technology advancements, Holyoake was looking to create an app that would provide people in need with free access to wellness resources.
BirdBrain’s developers set to work on creating the ‘My Wellbeing Mate’ mobile app. We delivered a useful and convenient app that acts as a central hub for mental health helplines, websites, guides, videos, inspiring talks and more. With effective search filters and the ability to favourite content, it provides a quick and easy, go-to resource that people can take with them everywhere.
We used the WordPress API to ensure Holyoake would be able to easily update the app data and its content as needed. As Holyoake is a not-for-profit, it was important to provide a cost-effective solution. Our developers were able to build the foundation code using the React Native library and ported the codebase to Swift (iOS) and Java (Android).
