For more than 123 years, GA Perry has been providing plumbing and electrical solutions to homeowners all over the Perth metro area. If you grew up in WA, then chances are you’ve heard of the GA Perry name and the catchy jingle that goes along with it.
In more recent times, this well-known business has begun to experience a serious increase in competition. With plumbers and electricians popping up all over the city, GA Perry needed to improve its digital marketing presence to maintain its position as Perth’s leading provider.
Before coming to BirdBrain, the GA Perry website was in need of a complete overhaul. Online enquiries were being negatively impacted by a dated design and a poor user experience (UX) that was difficult to navigate.
Tasked with creating a fresh and contemporary website that would appeal to young homeowners, the BirdBrain team went about designing and developing a site that would ultimately drive enquiries.
How We Got There
Our digital marketing specialists started out with a well-planned, UX focussed IA that favoured a simple site structure. Following in-depth keyword research and competitor analysis, our team put together a site map that would allow users to quickly and easily find critical information such as emergency services and key contact details.
Built using React, an innovative code library that allows for the creation of dynamic interfaces, the new GA Perry site is fully mobile responsive, with lightning fast page load speeds. Plus, the use of sticky headers, bold call to actions and emergency contact points scattered throughout the site makes for intuitive navigation that is optimised for user flow.
Adapting the red, blue and grey colour palette of the GA Perry brand, our designers brightened up the colours and introduced fresh, new shades to create a modern user interface. With a strong use of photography and a layered design, the site has a vibrant and contemporary feel that acknowledges the heritage of the business while still appealing to a younger demographic.
